Clayton County Parks and Recreation will host three Fall Sports Parent Meetings to provide important information for families participating in cheerleading, soccer, tackle football, and flag football this season.

These meetings are an opportunity for parents and guardians to meet recreation staff, learn about league expectations, schedules, uniforms, and safety guidelines, and ask any questions before the season kicks off. Please note, this meetings are mandatory to receive your child’s uniform. 

Meeting Dates & Locations:
•    Monday, July 28, 2025 – South Clayton Recreation Center
•    Tuesday, July 29, 2025 – Carl Rhodenizer Recreation Center
•    Thursday, July 31, 2025 – Virginia Burton Gray Recreation Center

We encourage all parents to attend one of the scheduled meetings. Your involvement plays a vital role in creating a successful and positive experience for our young athletes.

Fall 2025 Clayton County Flag Football Registration is Open!

Register your kids here.

Flag Football (U5):

• Includes: Shorts, a t-shirt, team pictures, and a participation award.
• Required: Participants must provide their own cleats and mouth guard.
• Provided: The park will supply flag belts for the season.

Nonresident Fee: There is an additional $25 fee for nonresident participants.

Important Dates and Details:

• Practices: Practices will begin in August. Kids will practice up to three times a week, typically on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The exact practice schedule will be determined once rosters are finalized after registration.
• Season Start: The regular season will kick off after Labor Day with games played on weekends through November.

We’re always on the lookout for passionate Volunteer Football Coaches to help guide and inspire our players! If you have a love for the game and want to make a difference in the lives of young athletes, we’d love for you to join our coaching team.

No Experience? No Problem!
While football experience is encouraged, it’s not required. We provide all the training and support you’ll need to succeed! Whether you’re coaching a team or assisting, we’ll make sure you’re fully prepared to lead and inspire your players.

What You Need to Know:

• Background Check: All coaches must pass a criminal background check to ensure the safety of our athletes.
• Training Provided: Every coach must complete the necessary training to ensure a positive and successful experience for both the coach and the players. Don’t worry—we’ll walk you through the whole process!
• Team Support: We provide all the resources you need to manage a team and create a fun, competitive environment for the kids.
