Overview

Administrative Services provides support to all Division staff and their programs, coordinates the Department's budget, and monitors expenditures and revenues. This Division provides oversight to personnel management and is responsible for countywide events, procurement management, special projects, community relations, outreach and partnerships. This Division also serves as liaison to other County departments.

Purpose

 

The purpose of the Administration Division is to provide leadership and administrative support to the six department divisions so they can provide effective programs and services to the citizens of Clayton County.

Sections of the Division

 

The Director's Office is part of the Administrative Division that includes the Marketing Unit. This Unit promotes branding and image development through marketing and communication collateral for the Department including a program publication: Leisure Connection, and media relations.

The Constituent Services Units primary responsibility is the management of the purchasing and procurement functions of the entire Department. This Unit also coordinates, logs citizen's issues, documents the concerns for follow-up, and documentation for future customer satisfaction surveys.

The Payroll Units primary responsibility is the management of the human resources elements of the Department to include processing of new hires, proper execution of paperwork to be forwarded to the Personnel Department, as well as processing the Department's payroll and data entry into the Finance Department's database system for payroll and time keeping.
